Alexa Chung was one of the many stylish young things to attend the NARS book launch party in New York last night.

The presenter went for a vintage approach to her styling, in a pretty polka-dot dress with front-split, which she cinched in at the waist with a black belt.

Shiny shoe-boots, a retro red handbag and clashing coral nails provided the finishing touches.

Alexa posed for a snap with cosmetics connoisseur Francois Nars, who was celebrating the launch of his new book, Makeup Your Mind: Express Yourself.
