Dear The Queen,

We know Princess Beatrice's hideous-but-at-the-same-time-amazing hat got her some major column inches as well as a cult internet following and a hefty donation to UNICEF's account.

We get that you might have been feeling a tad left out what with the coverage of the royal wedding taking the focus onto your younger relatives (and the posteriors of at least one of your in-laws).

We also realise that the fine line between fascinators, hats and junk shop storage rooms has become incredibly blurry thanks to Lady Gaga and her magpie approach to headgear.

But - and we cannot stress this point enough - if one chooses to wear a be-ribonned hairnet to the Chelsea Flower Show, REGARDLESS of the reason, one should at least pick a flattering colour.

Black bows atop your signature silver curls (as well as the black handbag and shoes) just detract from your spring-tastic coat and dress - a pastel net with ribbon flowers would have been so much better, or perhaps a stylish Japanese flower arrangement would have suited the occasion as well as providing volume and lift?

Essentially, props to you for trying something new at 85 but remember - what goes for Gaga might not suit you.

Love,

Team MyDaily xxx
