Angelina Jolie: Schools Aren't Good Enough For My Children

PA

Angelina Jolie has admitted her six children are home-schooled as she doesn't think the normal school system is good enough for them.

The mum of six - Maddox, nine, Pax, seven, Zahara, six, Shiloh, five and twins, Knox and Vivienne, three, said her and husband, Brad Pitt, choose to tutor their children at home as the education system 'hasn't caught up':

'I do think we live in a different age and the education system hasn't caught up with our children and our way of life,' she said.

She also admitted she's a little slack when it comes to making sure her brood get through all their class work:

'I'm the first person to say, 'Get the schoolwork done as quickly as possible because let's go out and explore'.

'I'd rather them go to a museum and learn to play guitar and read and pick a book they love. I wish there was a book every parent could read that tells you how to navigate through the school system, and how to tailor the education for your children and their interests.'

Angelina and Brad have chosen to enroll their six children in the Lycee programme, a French schooling system taught by nannies and specialist teachers, rather than 'normal' education.

Do you agree with Angelina? Do you think your child's school hasn't 'caught up' with your way of life?
