The 29-year-old singer, who turns 30 in September, admitted in an interview with Piers Morgan that she has always wanted to have a baby around the time she reached the milestone birthday.
Asked by the CNN host about whether she was feeling broody, Beyoncé replied: 'I always said I was going to have a baby at 30. I'm 29 now.
'But I also said I was going to retire at 30. So I don't know,' she said, adding: 'I am not retiring, I tell you.'
Pressed by Morgan she said: 'Only God knows, only God knows,' to which he cheekily retorted: 'Can you ask him?'
Beyonce replied laughing: 'I will, I will have a conversation with him... but you can't tell anybody else.'
The singer, who headlined Glastonbury on Sunday night, talked to Morgan on his Tonight Show, which was aired last night in the US.
The interview was recorded in London where she is currently promoting her fourth solo album, 4.
Speaking of her husband, rapper Jay-Z she told Piers: 'He is amazing.'
But she added: 'Jay and I have kind of made a decision that we want to be known for our music and not our relationships or scandals.'
Beyoncé performed at the Shepherd's Bush Empire last night in London as part of her promotional blitz to launch her new LP, with the event being attended by a host of celebs including close friend Gwyneth Paltrow.
The Single Ladies singer has already attracted a star-studded crowd at the event tonight, including Tinie Tempah, Adele, Alexandra Burke, Alexis Jordan, JB from JLS and Jessie J, as well as fashion royalty Tom Ford and Stella McCartney.
