The Sun have defended the story they published about Gordon Brown's son which the former Prime Minister said left him in "tears", saying they got the information legitimately.
On their front page, they write that the information came from the parent of a child with cystic fibrosis, the illness Brown's son suffers from and that he gave them permission to run the story.

In other papers, the phone hacking scandal continues to dominate, with many concentrating on the cross party consensus to halt Murdoch's BSkyB bid until the police investigation is over.
