These photos on the set of Woody Allen's latest filmThe Bop Decameron give a hint of what's to come from the screen legend.
The snaps taken in the beautiful Piazza Del Popolo - a historic square in the Italian capital, Rome - show Allen in serious director mode.
However, last month it was announced Allen will also be stepping in front of the camera in The Bop Decamero, for the first time after five films solely planted behind it.
Allen was spotted directing Italian actress Alessandra Mastronardi, who, until now, has mainly starred in Italian films and TV shows.
Mastronardi will be rocketed into the limelight alongside The Bop Decameron's big stars, Penelope Cruz and Jesse Eisenberg.
Alec Baldwin, Roberto Benigni, Greta Gerwig, Ellen Page and Alison Pill are also confirmed co-stars.
The $24.8million comedy will be divided into four separate vignettes. Allen will feature in one where an American couple, travelling to Italy, meets the family of their daughter's fiance.
The Annie Hall and Manhattan creator's recent film, Midnight In Paris - starring Owen Wilson - earned $75million worldwide, marking Allen's return to box-office success.
