New Mum Mariah Carey Tells Of 'Bleak' Pregnancy With Twins

PA

Mariah Carey has told television viewers that being pregnant was a 'bleak' time of her life.

Appearing on America's Home Shopping Network, new mum Mariah dismissed claims that the pain and discomfort of pregnancy was all worth it once you have your baby, saying: 'Everyone was always saying to me, "Oh but it's all worth it". And I was like, "Yeah well it's easy for you to say when you're not the one whose feet are this big".

'It turned into a really difficult time. [Being] pregnant with twins is different to anything.

My body went through so much - you have to keep those twins in as long as possible, but it's a sacrifice you make for them. I was literally 47 weeks pregnant.'

Mariah was on the the shopping channel selling her jewellery range. In between flogging her baubles, she began speaking in a British accent and telling the cameraman not to shoot her, before saying to her co-host that pregnancy was 'so bleak for me'.

Mariah delivered her babies - Moroccan and Monroe - in April.

Crazy or just being honest? Was pregnancy 'bleak' for you?
