Coleen Nolan Bids Tearful Farewell To Loose Women, Remembers Favourite Guests

PRESS ASSOCIATION -- Coleen Nolan has said a tearful goodbye to Loose Women as she ended her 11-year stint on the daytime panel show.

The star, who made her name singing with her sisters, was joined by two of her favourite guests - John Barrowman and Brian Conley - and fellow presenters Kate Thornton, Sherrie Hewson and Denise Welch.

She thanked the "girls" on the show, saying: "I know we will be friends forever so its not goodbye for us but to all the people that have been involved in the show backstage... thank you.

"But more importantly I want to thank you the audience and you at home because you have been through my life with me and you've stood by me for 11 years. You have made me what I am today."

Speaking before today's show, Coleen said her favourite guest was American actress and comic Whoopi Goldberg.

She told the Daily Mirror: "I always loved it when we had really big stars on like Whoopi Goldberg, who I'd loved and admired for years. I couldn't believe I was sitting next to her and she was so nice.

"She came on with no entourage, went on just as she'd turned up and was brilliant."

But she was less than impressed with Rihanna who she said arrived with "about 30 people with her".

Coleen said: "I sat there thinking 'You've only come on to sing one three-minute song about an umbrella, love'."
