Rachel Weisz made one of her first public outings since her very private wedding to James Bond star Daniel Craig, for the New York premiere of her new film.

The Whistleblower is a political thriller, dealing with the cross-border world of sex trafficking.

Weisz described the film as "an edge-of-your-seat thriller", which sees "an ordinary woman doing an extraordinary thing". Just such a role brought Weisz an Oscar for her work in The Constant Gardener.

Fans will also be able to watch her on-screen with her new husband in the forthcoming Dream House, out in September.

I'm still surprised by the match of Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig... but I'm begging him to please be true to Steig Larsson's intentions when he takes on a lead role in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. The movie poster is not...Lizbeth Salander would hate it...sexuality was very complex and painfully private for her character. Those of us who love the series, as well as Steig's purpose for writing them, which was to get money to continue his fight for justice in Norway and elsewhere, will be watching very closely.
