David Cameron is on holiday in Tuscany for two weeks with his wife Samantha and family.

The Camerons are renting a villa in the Chianti region with its own swimming pool and tennis court. The price is believed to be around £5,800, which the prime minister is paying for himself. Nick Clegg is also scheduled to take a break with his family, leaving William Hague the most senior cabinet minister in the country.

See below for snaps of their holiday:

I hope the Italians who rented to Cameron did a credit check on him. You can never turn your back to a Brit. They play Europe like a fool.

Three years ago, my dentist was doing so well, he took his wife and his hygenist and her husband to Tuscany for two weeks. A really fabulous man who was rewarded with a fabulous flight with our USAF Thunderbirds for his generosity.

But three years into this depression, he was nipping at his hygenist for going on her own staycation and fretting about the sound the office washing machine was making. I didn't want to tell him it was the clutch, but directed him to a nicks and dings salesman who could save him a bundle if he didn't mind a scratch. He still helps kids get ready for school and supports sport teams My, how the other half lived.

He's not been asked to relocate records for patients who have moved. Folks are just grinning and bearing the pain these days.

Most people can't afford a holiday this year, most are worried will they still have a job by christmas, can they afford to heat & eat this winter. And he's swanning around in Tuscany?
Yes, Dave: "We are ALL sharing the pain", some a lot more than others.
