An excellent opportunity to study at Her Majesty's expense.

Such is prison life. It might be a healthhy shock to the little tw@. Protesting for your rights or against the state dismantling them is one thing, behaving completely irresponsibly is quite another.

Maybe. I certainly thought at the time it might have been a bit harsh for a first offence. However we all have the right to protest peacefully in this here land, and he abused that right.

The issue of the Cenotaph is also very pertinent. Whatever your views about wars and the like, that is a memorial to lives lost and sacrifices made by the armed forces. Abuse that and you abuse their memory. So on reflection he probably got what was coming to him. I couldn't care less about those two in the Bentley having their theatre evening spoilt.

It is possible to protest without vandalizing the Cenotaph or attacking Royalty.
Mom should tell future protestors to avoid protesting while blitzed, not tell them to wear masks.

That said, inquiring minds want to know ~> How many (what percentage) of the prisoners get only 1 hour of yard time per day?

So? For what he did to the cenotaph, I'd have broken his damn legs.

GILMORE MAY BE A LITTLE PUNK-WANNABE

BUT MUM'S TOTALLY CLUELESS.

Gilmore's mom tweeted

My poor gentle boy is locked up 23 hours a day and offered pick-pocketing lessons. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2021239/Charlie-Gilmours-mother-Polly-Samson-tweets-My-boys-locked-23-hours-day.html#ixzz1TtF9G7M9

This 'gentle boy' is a rich, privileged, non-scholarship student.  He took a combo of LSD, Valium and whisky and decided to use the Student Tuition protest for a little fun,   Gilmore swung on the flag on the Cenotaph, then attacked the car carrying Charles and Camilla.  He got 16 months (he may do 8) for this.

Mum protested that it would hurt his education and job prospects; but never expressed concern over his drug use (this wasn't likely a one-time thing,)  Now she's really worried he's rubbing shoulders with 'criminals.'  Does she thinks her son's street dealers are 'gentle litte boys' like him? Get real.

Mum isn't doing her son any favour by excusing high risk behavior.

I too was a bit concerned that she didn't seem to feel the LSD was an issue (putting alcohol aside because I imagine most of the youngsters were drinking anyway) but then I guess his dad is Pink Floyd so maybe there's a different attitude to drugs in the family.

That's my feeling as well, Fudgefase; unfortunately, I think her tweeting is creating animosity toward the entire family as being spoiled, privileged and clueless.

Another bad use of a thumbnail, HP.  Come on, at least put in the pertinent details, or no one will care or comment.
