Hollywood hard man Jean-Claude Van Damme is to star in the British sci-fi movie UFO.
The Double Impact star has signed up to play a retired military adviser in the film, which is currently shooting in Derbyshire.
UFO follows the events surrounding an alien invasion and the Belgian actor, nicknamed The Muscles from Brussels, began filming the lead role this week.
The film is written and directed by Derby director Dominic Burns. Speaking of Van Damme's casting, he told BBC News: "We heard he once visited [Derbyshire] to take part in some sort of martial arts display for about an hour but then headed off. He'll be here for a little longer this time."
Burns described the film as: "Independence Day meets Monsters, told from the point of view of Signs."
Fans will have to wait to see if Van Damme uses his marital arts expertise against aliens, as the film is not set for release until next year.
