Remember how Kate Moss revealed she went a little bit bridezilla in the run up to her wedding to rocker Jamie Hince? Looks like she wasn't kidding. Manolo Blahnik has revealed that the supermodel's wedding shoes had to be remade five times before her big day.
In an interview for WWD Blahnik confirmed the extra work on Kate's customised Godichefac sandals: "We did them five times to get them the way she wanted."
In fact Kate's demands kept Blahnik's staff busy until the very last moment: "My workers are the best people. I wouldn't be here without them. The shoes arrived the day before and there were too many jewels on the heel because of the long train. So we had women working up until midnight to change it."
Is anyone else thinking Kate might have been channelling Cher from Clueless at this point? "You've seen how picky I am about my shoes and they only go on my feet!"
It sounds like Manolo took Kate's revisions in good spirits though and he spoke of her and her wedding fondly: "I've known Kate since she was a little girl. The wedding was divine. Kate has such a presence. You just have to feel it."
The only problem we can see with all this is that after so much work and so many column inches, you can barely see them in the pictures!
