Leo DiCaprio And Martin Scorsese Reunite

PRESS ASSOCIATION -- Leonardo DiCaprio is set to play his cards right in The Gambler.

The Inception star will apparently reunite with Oscar-winning filmmaker Martin Scorsese, whom he previously worked with on Shutter Island, The Departed, The Aviator and Gangs Of New York.

Leonardo will portray an academic whose gambling addiction slides out of control in the remake of the 1974 gritty drama, originally starring James Caan, reported Deadline.

William Monahan is adapting James Toback's autobiographical original screenplay, with Irwin Winkler and Bob Chartoff attached as producers.

Leonardo, who recently finished Clint Eastwood's J Edgar, will next play Jay Gatsby in Baz Luhrmann's remake of The Great Gatsby alongside Carey Mulligan and take on the villainous turn in Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained.
