WATCH: Daredevils Kiteboard During Hurricane Irene

Two men have found fame on YouTube after filming themselves kiteboarding during Hurricane Irene.

The daredevils recorded the footage of themselves flying more than 50 feet into the stormy sky on Bald Head Island in North Carolina on August 26, as wind-speeds increased from the oncoming storm.

Kiteboarding is just what it sounds like - surfing while holding on to a giant kite which launches the rider into the air when it catches the wind.

Of course in a hurricane things can get a little more extreme, as Dale Slear and Hunter Stunzi found out when they took to the water as the hurricane approached.

In a full write-up of the attempt the men said that the storm "certainly threw a tantrum that we won't forget".
