Titter ye not! According to John Lloyd, creator of the panel show QI, Frankie Howerd’s comedy catchphrase has become the deathless maxim of BBC executives. For they have decreed that Lloyd’s popular quiz creation should return to BBC2 after its winning blend of intriguing facts, suggestive repartee and saucy badinage was considered too risqué for pre-watershed BBC1 audiences.
