NHS Job Advert Includes 'Usual Rubbish About Equal Opportunities'

A job advert posted on the NHS website included a reference to the "usual rubbish about equal opportunities employer", after the author apparently forgot to complete a draft version.

It appears that in their haste to advertise the vacancy in September the NHS forgot to actually fill that "rubbish" in. The advert has since been removed but not quick enough to avoid being snapped (below).

Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University NHS Trust was seeking a Regional Anesthesia Fellow. Adverts posted by the hospital usually include the following statement promoting its commitment to "equality and diversity".

"The Trust is committed to creating a well managed, flexible working environment that supports staff and promotes their welfare and development. We are committed to promoting equality and diversity; we value the contribution of individual talent, skills, knowledge and experience and aim for a workforce demography representative of the local community.

"We operate Zero Tolerance to aggression, violence, bullying and harassment. We will make reasonable adjustments to ensure our recruitment and selection process is accessible to all. Flexible Working applications will be considered. The Trust operates a No Smoking Policy."

The BBC uses the ritual expressions of equality. But they still do not have an oriental TV broadcaster in UK news and current affairs.
