Kelly Rowland Bans Her X Factor Finalists From Partying

X FACTOR Kelly Rowland's Party Ban

PRESS ASSOCIATION -- Kelly Rowland has banned her X Factor finalists from partying, to protect their voices.

The 30-year-old Destiny's Child singer had eight girls aged between 16-25 visit her Miami mansion, where she and mentor Jennifer Hudson will choose her final four. But she revealed she planned to make them follow the same strict rules she did when she was a young singer.

Rowland told the Daily Mirror: "There will be no alcohol, no smoking and no talking loud in clubs. I want them to take care of their bodies.

"I didn't go out until I was at least 22 and I didn't party until two years ago. I've always been strict. I don't drink a lot, I don't smoke, I want to succeed.

"I will be like 'Don't let anybody affect your focus - anything, anyone - or you will lose everything'."

And Rowland doesn't mind if the singers she mentors are better than her - in fact she is expecting them to be.

She said: "I want them to be better. Better than me, better than Lady Gaga, better than Beyonce. Better than this generation. Each generation is meant to be better. I remember talking to Whitney Houston and she was saying, 'it's just getting better and it should continue to get better'. I heard Janet Jackson say that, too.

"I am the same. I always want to get better and I want my girls to be better."
