WHO? Peter Pilotto

IN A NUTSHELL: Designers Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos Drew were inspired by a recent trek to the Pacific Islands in their spring/summer collection: everything from lush jungles, volcanic craters, white-tipped waves and sulphuric plumes of smoke were incorporated into their abstract prints - which were, as expected, pretty spectacular. The duo also played with shapes - a knot-front midi, hip-hugging pencil skirt, voluminous prom skirt or structured maxi - were paired with fitted tops or silky shirts and eye-catching perspex heels.

BEG, BORROW OR STEAL: While we doubt the scuba-suit crop tops will look good on anyone other than the models showcasing them, we'd give our right arm for one of the shimmering embellished pencil skirts. Also, the closing look - a structured graduating maxi dress over a glittering mini skirt, was really something quite special. And the perspex Nicholas Kirkwood heels! We love.

THE F-ROW: Samantha Cameron chose Peter Pilotto for her LFW debut this season, plus Anna Dello Russo dressed head-to-toe in Prada

VERDICT: While there may have been a few bleary eyes in the audience at the 9am show, the beautiful collection acted as an instant pick-me-up, and was followed by a flurry of gushing Tweets from excited fashionistas proclaiming their love. (Including us.) Another firm contender for fave show of the season.
