Planet Earth As It Looks From Outer Space

Ever wondered what planet earth looks like from space? Wonder no more, as the International Space Station have released a time-lapsed video showing the view of orbiting the earth at night - all set to a ambient soundtrack.

The International Space Station is the eleventh to orbit the earth and has been continuously staffed for over 11 years. Nasa has even made it easy for you to see when it will hover over Britain using their applet.

And it's next scheduled to fly over London on Wednesday 21 September at 06:00 for two minutes.

I don't know if it's this web video player or the camera NASA used but for Christ's sake if you're going to record and post video of something so epic as a time-lapse of the earth at night from the space station, what a waste to do it in crappy 480p video!

Seeing the Earth from far away, would you think there are so many wars and hostility on this planet?
