Murdoch was and is a great promoter of Thatcherism and Reaganomics, which is the same thing, just a different tag.

Now that the changes made through Thatcherism and Reaganomics have run their course through the US and Britain, the picture is not pretty. Murdoch promoted the wrong ideas, as current results prove. It would have been better if had stayed in sleaze and sports, i.e. out of the political arena.
