Lily Allen Questions Jessie J's Mobo Awards - Does She Have A Point? (VOTE)

VOTE: Lily Allen Questions Jessie J's Mobo Awards- Do You?

PRESS ASSOCIATION -- Lily Allen has questioned Jessie J's multiple Mobo wins - asking her Twitter followers how her music is of black origin.

The outspoken singer, who is taking a break from her music career to have a baby with husband Sam Cooper, wrote: "Now, I love Jessie J as much as the next person, but how is her music 'of black origin' ? Is it cause she says 'man dem' in her tune?"

Allen, who tweets under her married name Lily Rose Cooper, added: "I am happy for her, I'm a big supporter of hers, I just don't get the logic of those awards."

When a follower replied to her saying, "you could make the argument that all pop music since the Beatles can be traced back to black origin", Allen replied: "Well, in that case, why weren't the Arctic Monkeys or Friendly Fires nominated for anything?"

Jessie J, who picked up gongs for best UK act, best newcomer, best song for Do It Like A Dude and best album for Who You Are, didn't respond to the comments, but wrote on Twitter that she was "overwhelmed and still on cloud 9" after the ceremony.
