Kirstie Allsopp Is Ready For Baby Number Three!

PA

Kirstie Allsopp is obviously feeling fab at 40 as she reveals her plans for a third baby! In an interview with this week's new! magazine, mum-of-two Kirstie admits that she would 'love' another addition to her family.

The Location, Location, Location presenter says that she does not feel her age, and another baby is something she is most definitely considering!

"I'd love a new baby," she tells the magazine, "And whatever 40 represents, I don't feel I'm at that stage yet.

"Some people say they are done [after two children] and some say they aren't. I'm not done. I was so sick in my last pregnancy, though, I know I'd have to be off work while I was pregnant. Because of this, I would want to get the timings right. But I realise, it is the one thing you can't control! It's all in the lap of the Gods. But if I were fortunate to have a third, I'd definitely take more time off than I did with Oscar."

Kirstie recently admitted that her busy work schedule means she has lots of help at home with her current two kids - Bay, five, and Oscar, two, employing a housekeeper and a nanny, but says that she would ease off her TV commitments if she were to become pregnant again or if her existing children were affected by her workload:

"I would always ease off if my children were adversely affected. I don't want to be in a situation where in five years' time, my children don't know who I am and I don't know who their friends are," she says, "I'm lucky because I've got marvellous help. I don't understand why women in the public eye think it's a good idea to misinform – it's really unfair on other women. You cannot have it all."

Kirstie says she 'virtually never' works at weekends or in the summer holidays, and insists that although she enjoys her job and it pays well, money is not something children care about, saying that parents, friends and home life are important to kids, not cash. In the past she has spoken about the importance of a woman's role in a household - even going so far as to say mums should put their partners before their kids!

As well as her own two children, Kirstie is also stepmum to her partner Ben Andersen's children Hal, 11, and Orion, eight. They, she says are 'really sweet' and 'quite proud' of her TV work and achievements – less so her own two children though: " I was filming Handmade Britain yesterday and I got back late. When Oscar climbed into my bed this morning, he asked if I had come home by train or not. That's what really interests him!"
