A 17-year-old mountain biker got the shock of his life when he collided with a Red Hartebeest, which came running towards him at Albert Falls Dam, South Africa.
Red Hartebeest have very poor eyesight and can reach speeds of around 30 miles per hour. The animal ran off, leaving Evan van der Spuy lying in the grass. He suffered concussion and whiplash, but recovered well in hospital.
