'Strictly Come Dancing': Nancy Dell'Olio 'Preparing' For Her Own Show

Whatever Next? Nancy Dell'Olio 'Preparing' For Her Own Show

Strictly Come Dancing star Nancy Dell'Olio has claimed she is going to land her own TV show.

The Italian businesswoman, who has been clinging on to a place in the BBC1 dance contest despite maulings from the judges, said she is "preparing" for a programme.

Nancy - who has already published an autobiography - also claimed she is working on a pair of new books.

In an interview for BBC1's Graham Norton Show, she said: "My life is quite busy with a few things - I'm writing two books and I am preparing my TV show."

But asked about the show, she was not prepared to give any more details.

"I'm probably doing it, but I am not going to say more," she said.

Nancy, 50, who is reported to be dating a chef who is 16 years younger than her, is due to perform a rumba to Dusty Springfield's Spooky tomorrow night with partner Anton Du Beke.

But she admitted that she was not the most skilled figure on the dancefloor.

"My public says whether I win or not but I probably am not a great dancer," she told presenter Graham in the programme to be screened tonight (Friday).

"It's a very intense, full-on experience, but I love it," she said of Strictly.
