Suzi Perry's Top Christmas Gadgets

What do you get the techie in your life for Christmas? The Gadget Show's Suzi Perry has waded through the mass of gadgets on offer to bring you a snappy list of must-have gadgets for Christmas 2011.

"It's a terrific time in the world of technology because so many things are being launched right now. If you're a gamer, Battlefield 3 has just been launched. It's going to be a great 12 months for smart phones with lots of different manufacturers coming out with lots of ideas," she told Huffington Post.

"It's not just about iPhone 4s either. The new Nokia phone, the whole Samsung range is terrific and HTC are great with Beats audio. And of course there's tablets, and iPad is the obvious one. But I'm excited about the Amazon Kindle Fire. I've always been a huge fan of iPad but I am excited about Amazon Kindle Fire because it's great that someone is brining out something affordable for around £150," she adds.

Cameras are a natural fit for Christmas gifts. Suzi says "If you can extend the budget to £100 or over, the Nikon V1 and J1 are great. They're compact and a brilliant way to get young people into photography. They're also great if you have had a film camera all your life and you want to take it easy and just click."

And on her own list? The stylish, retro Fuji Finepix X100, a camera that combines the best of digital technology and old-school SLR styling in a beast of a machine that nears the £1000 mark.

Suzi's top Christmas techie gifts:

Battlefield 3 - "One for the gamers."

Amazon Kindle Fire tablet - "If it does what it says on the tin, then I think they've cracked it."

HTC Sensation and iPhone 4s - "iPhone is the classic, but HTC's audio is excellent."

Nikon V1 and J1 - "A great way to get people into photography."

Fuji Finepix X100 - "A glorious gadget. Over £1000, but absolutely gorgeous. I'd love one!"

DAB Radio - "Not everyone uses apps, plenty of people still like listening to a radio."

Dyson Hot - "An amazing new invention."

Air swimmers - "Absolutely adorable, and a lot of fun."
