Robert Vaughn Joins 'Coronation Street' For Guest Stint

Robert Vaughn Joins Corrie

The Man from Uncle is coming to Weatherfield.

Veteran actor Robert Vaughn, who shot to fame in the 1960s as secret agent Napoleon Solo, will play a wealthy American who met Roy Cropper's mother Sylvia Goodwin (Stephanie Cole) on a cruise.

He is expected to appear on Coronation Street for three weeks early next year.

Show insiders claim his arrival on the street after Sylvia's return from the cruise will "put the cat firmly amongst the pigeons".

Robert, who appeared in The Magnificent Seven with Yul Brynner and Steve McQueen, has become a familiar face on British television with his role in the BBC show Hustle where he plays conman Albert Stroller.
