A suit worn by Doctor Who star Matt Smith in the BBC1 series is set to raise thousands of pounds in a charity auction for Children in Need.

Fans are able to bid for the tweed jacket, braces, bow tie and the rest of his outfit from an episode called The Doctor's Wife.

Also being sold in Children in Need's online Once In A Lifetime auction is a signed script for a special sketch to be screened on Friday during the annual broadcast.

Smith said: "I hope people donate generously for BBC Children in Need because it's a wonderful cause - and we've got to beat last year's total."

The online auction at www.bbc.co.uk/Pudsey - which also features lots such as meeting the Gardeners' World team and visiting the Match Of The Day 2 studio - closes on Monday.
