Afghan Elvis Spotted in Kabul

Afghan Elvis Has Women All Shook Up...

These remarkable pictures show Farhad Darya, better know as the 'Afghan Elvis', entertaining legions of loyal female fans, despite fear of reprisals from the music-banning Taliban.

When not shaking his hips on stage, Darya, a multi-lingual performer, works as a UN goodwill ambassador to his homeland.

He regularly plays to packed-out concerts, recently entertaining fans at the Amani high school in Kabul (pictured).

The 49-year-old crooner, who has been performing since the eighties, boasts a fan-base that stretches from the Middle East to Pakistan - all eager to hear his mix of traditional Ghazal music and pop.
