Body Found In Rural Reservoir Being Treated As Suspicious

The death of a man whose body was found near a reservoir is being treated as suspicious, police have said.

The discovery was made on Sunday in the vicinity of Carron Valley Reservoir near Fintry, Stirlingshire.

Police said their investigation was still "at a very early stage".

The man's name will not be released until the formal identification process has been carried out.

The body was discovered half a mile along forestry track from the B818 road.

Detective Chief Inspector Willie Cravens, from Central Scotland Police, said: "Our inquiries are at a very early stage and we have a dedicated team of officers working on this."
