Games Charts: Which Battlefield Is Still UK's Favourite?

This week in the UK games charts, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has done what Black Ops couldn't - held onto the number one position for three weeks in a row.

While the internet is fuming with complaints that MW3 is a re-hash of previous editions, it's more popular than its predecessor, which was trounced by Gran Turismo 5 at this time last year.

At the bottom of the charts, Battlefield 3 lingers at number 9, while the worst performer is Super Mario 3D Land.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations is steady at second place, Saint's Row: The Third has skipped up from fourth to third, swapping spots with Skyrim.

Despite their top spots, all these games have suffered falling sales. The only games to have grown in sales are FIFA 11 (at number 5) and Just Dance 3 (at number 8), evidence they're a popular buy for Christmas.

Sixth most popular is wrestling game WWE 12, the highest new entry. Nintendo's Professor Layton and the Spectre's Call trails it at number 7, in its first week in the charts.

Can MW3 hold onto a whole month at the top? We'll find out next week.
