Google Doodles Marks Egyptian Elections

Google's doodle of the day today honours the Egyptian elections, the first time the Egyptian people have been able to vote since the overthrow of President Hosni Mubarak.

The doodle appears on the search engine's homepage in Egypt, google.com.eg and depicts the six letters that make up Google in the act of voting.

As with most Google doodles, this one reflects a spirit of unity and hope, following the fierce overthrow and recent violent protests in Tahrir Square, Cairo.
