Pigs

A group of pigs created may-ham in China recently after they escaped from a flipped lorry.

The police made a pig's-ear of the recovery attempt after the incident in China's Sichuan Province.

The truck driver may have wanted to tell porkies to avoid responsibility, but in the end it emerged that he had swerved to avoid hitting another car. The swine.

Some of the pigs hid away in their pens, but others turned curly-tails and fled onto the Chengdu-Yaan motorway.

The runaway hogs forced police to close the road for an hour before the truck driver could call some friends and have them help him recover his animals.

Eventually the animals were rounded up and taken away. Check the video above for all the details.

A better ending to the story would have been that all of the pigs were allowed to live.
