Hotel Review: St. Moritz Hotel, Trebetherick, Cornwall

The St. Mortiz is the height of seaside chic, located in Cornwall's most sought after coastal spot in Trebetherick, near Polzeath. Pack your flip flops, hop in the car and enjoy a hassle free staycation at this top notch hotel.

The USP: Cosy, comfortable and cool with stunning views over the Camel Estuary.

Book it now if: You want to relax in a chic seaside setting with all kinds of luxuries at your fingertips. Full sized Cowshed goodies fill the bathrooms, the king sized beds make you go 'ahhh' and there are hair straighteners in every room (which means less to pack!). Then there's the St. Mortiz Land Rover at your beck and call, ready to take you down to the nearest beach whenever you fancy. The attention to detail in this hotel makes indulging in 'me time' all the more pleasurable.

Bedding down: All the bedrooms are cosy and contemporary, from the smallest rooms to the suites. However, if you're planning on staying for more than a weekend, the suites are hard to resist. As well as the sizeable bedroom and en-suite bathroom, these rooms also feature a separate living room, kitchen and dining area. The icing on the cake is the enormous terrace, kitted out with sun loungers and a table and chairs, perfect for a spot of al fresco dining and admiring the sea view. There are also luxury self-catering apartments within the hotel, including a four-bedroom penthouse, and privately owned family holiday villas within the grounds of the hotel.

Feed me: Head chef James O'Connor runs the hotel's brilliant restaurant and creates an innovative menu each day. Seafood lovers will be in heaven as fresh fish from local fisherman is served on a daily basis. Carnivores and vegetarians will be in for a treat too though; there really is something for everyone here. (The selection of Cornish cheeses is also hard to beat!)

Easily bored: After one look at the Cowshed Spa's treatment list, those in the mood for some pampering will be sold. The two hour Sun & Sea Signature Treatment is hard to turn down after completing a coastal walk to nearby Rock or Polzeath.

What's the damage: As expected in this part of the UK, prices change quite dramatically according to the season. Cosy rooms start at £105 per night in low season and £190 during the summer months. Suites start at £195 but reach £315 in July. Prices are inclusive of room, breakfast and VAT per night for two people. A ground floor, three bedroom apartment starts at £860 per week in low season.
