Mum Stabbed To Death After 'Complaining About Neighbours' Party Noise'

PA

A 31-year-old mum has been stabbed to death after reportedly asking neighbours to turn down their music.

Emma Jones died in hospital after the attack in Penygroes, North Wales.

The Scottish Sun reports that Emma had been out at a local pub on Friday night, and after returning home, asked party-goers in a neighbouring flat to turn their music down.

A source said: "She went over a couple of times to complain. When the music didn't get lowered she returned and was stabbed."

Neighbours reported seeing Emma being put in a car and driven towards hospital in Bangor. The car was met by an ambulance, but she was later pronounced dead. She is thought to have left a 10-year-old son.

A woman from a nearby village was later charged with Emma's murder. Alwen Jones, 23, is due in court today.

A second woman and a man were released on police bail without charge.
