Facebook Timeline

Facebook has announced that its eagerly awaited Timeline will roll out today.

The update, which displays posts and pictures chronologically, offers a timeline of your life on the social network, including what you did, when and with whom.

There's a seven-day review period, allowing you to delete unflattering pictures or posts, with the full service scheduled to go live in a week.

However, the Timeline has already caused a stir on Twitter, with Twitter Facebook Timeline trending for many regions.

According to Facebook, they are still ironing out a few bugs in the system, but everything should be ready for the launch.

So, if you're a Facebook user, head over to the network and start looking through your posts. Anything embarrassing or likely to cause a problem needs to be hidden, if not deleted.

For more information, visit the Facebook Timeline page.

This looks like myspace profiles now.....:/

I like the large image at the top of the page. I dislike that the smaller profile image overlaps this.
If an artwork is posted where every part is important to the whole and there is a bite taken out of it due to the profile image it very distracting to the enjoyment of the work of art. A small adjustment by FB could correct this. I ask them to do this.

And this is why My Space lost customers -- too much change, too frequently, too time consuming (more of a job than a fun hobby), too technological for a social space, and just plain too much of everything that it is no longer a recreational activity.

I am so sick and tired of CHANGE. It is never for the better especially when you are technologically repellent. And here is my life story: I was born. I lived my life. And now I am on the edge of my demise.

I'm getting so sick of these intrusions by Facebook I'm going to start doing what everyone else has done and just quit them.

I still do not understand why people volunteer every detail of their life, relationships, connections and free time for the sake of other people's voyeurism and marketing exploitation. I could give a rat's when people look at me strangely when I say I do not partake...just seems like another cog in Big Brother's machine.

Most people joined to make it easier to keep in touch with family, friends and find those they have not spoken to in a while or lost touch with. However Facebook and Zukerberg have now gotten to the point where they cannot be trusted with your personal details. I wan't to see some good Zionist conspiracy plot posts lol.

People want to be noticed, feel special and important. It really is mostly vanity, especially when you can nowadays get blogs to post pics etc. I am not on facebook either, but wonder often, would I sell more books if I was there? Should I try to get a facebook page in the old language when the translation is ready? People who have something to sell are seemingly missing out if they practice abstinence. It's a hard world.

excellent! so all your personal life becomes internet history if you do not log in to facebook every five seconds! genius. Zuckerberg obviously has sat down with marketing, mobile & communications executives before considering this roll out!! you can 'poke' facebook up your bottom!! for me.

Another way for a social site to intrude into every little aspect of your life.
