New Year's Resolutions 2012: Popular And Unusual Goals For Next Year

New Year Resolutions

Dumping a boyfriend, becoming a better lover and saving up for breast enlargement surgery figure on a list of New Year's resolutions being made for 2012.

People were asked what they hoped to achieve in the coming year and many responses differed from the traditional ones of losing weight and giving up smoking.

Some of the more unusual targets for 2012 included meeting Lady Gaga, becoming a famous actor, stroking a giraffe and doing 50 things they have never done before.

Others went for less ambitious goals such as growing their hair, paying off debt and quitting smoking, the goal-setting website Wishbomb.com found.

Its founder Ricky Cooper said: "Each year people make the same resolutions which nobody ends up sticking to, so I think it's a real positive change to set unique and ambitious targets for the year ahead.

"Some of the challenges are just for fun and some may have much greater long-term implications such as dumping a boyfriend, but all of them will make the person involved feel happier and we think this should be encouraged.

"The fact that people are making these resolutions public on the site and getting comments from other members should make them much more likely to achieve their goals."

I have already done this, years ago. It is time that people stopped hiding behind the "crutch" that is religion/God/ whatever that they cling to in the false hope that someone/something else can make their lives better. Take responsibility for yourself. You are respnsible for what befalls you/benefits you, not a skay fairy of any description!

I am very comfortable with my decisions and have successfully brought up two daughters, who have a sense of purpose, are responsible and who do not believe any tripe told to them by religious fools, or prsopective boyfriends!

Save for a breast enlargement? Ridiculous, image obsessed, pathetic, get a life! Why do you think getting larger breasts will enhance your life, and why go through anaesthetic, surgery, scarring etc just to have a pair of balls attatched to yourself! They look unreal and I doubt they feel very good or natural to those who come into contact, ie men during sex or babies/children later on.

Get some self esteem and worry about more important things! I am so ashamed that around 100 years ago suffragettes were fighting and dying to make women's lives better and this is how they are repaid.

Well said Car1nth many will regret breast enlargement in later life when they have dropped and are swinging about below their navels.People need to be who they are and live with what they have got and if others don,t like it tough.

I agree as well. Too many people are self obsessed. Nobody helps anybody these days unless they get something in return. Me me me, horrible people.
