Never let it be said that Tulisa Contostavlos isn't a woman of her word.

She said she would score victory with Little Mix on The X Factor, and indeed she did. So when she warned that she was going to 'get messy' last night on Twitter, we should not have doubted her for a second.

The talent show judge was papped leaving London's Mahiki night club last night looking a little 'tired and emotional' as she celebrated the birthday of her personal assistant, Gareth Varey.

With the glazed over eyes, and friends to prop her up as she staggered out of the club, all the signs were there that T had indulged in one too many Christmas sherries.

Wearing a strapless monochrome number, she was bundled into the back of a black cab to venture home and sleep it off.

Earlier that night Tulisa warned that she was going to, ahem, enjoy the evening's festivities.

"Just poured the first drink of the night for @GarethVarey 's birthday, its 10pm, we got about 5 hours to go.....this could get messy," she tweeted.

She's like a little Mystic Meg that one.

But now that The X Factor's gruelling schedule is out of the way, she's free to return to her old partying ways.

However, she may want to lay off the sauce a bit seeing as she's got a whole book to write, as she's set to pen her autobiography in a £1.2million deal.

We can tell you Tulisa, writing with a fuzzy head really isn't that much fun.
