Well of course it didn't stop the show - nothing will ever stop a show that is run by (and for) selfish, self centred egotostical wannabees. Why can'y we just get rid of this whole genre of programming and stop people being led by the nose like cattle.

I am not sure how this is a newsworthy story on another note im glad Melanie won she is beautiful and talented tho i lovvved Josh im sure he will be successful any way and this Xfactor is soooooo much better than our own the talent was immense

I watched sporadic episodes. I was impressed with the talent of some of the competitors. I understood it was an entertainment programme ergo it was meant to entertain. I also recognised the outcome would have no meaningful impact on those issues in the world that really matter because it is/was just a show, a programme of entertainment. I applaud the fact that no person was forced to watch the programme, even those whose TV sets were switched on at the time had the choice of opting for a channel switch. Some paranoids believe the outcome was manipulated by a guy called Simon Cowell who apparently has the power to either influence millions of Americans into voting for his act or, much more sinisterly, has the ability to cheat the vote counting system. Me, I just take every day as it comes and concentrate on my family and other minor issues that matter to me. Merry Christmas everyone.

I am very disappointed in the results ... should have been Josh all the way. Melanie is talented but did not have the same stage presence or personality ... very dull. As many have stated in posting, I think the whole show is staged for Simon. Chris also had much more charisma and that "it" factor than Melanie. I will not be watching in the future ... go ahead ... make some nasty comments about what I have said. Merry Christmas!!!!

To the people saying Melanie won because Simon was her mentor, AMERICA did the voting, AMERICA voted her the winner, It wasn't Simon or the judges! Nice try though! If you don't like the show don't watch it, it's that simple!!

The biggest accident was the show itself, where is the supposed X factor in any of these singers? All Simon did was create a copy cat show and play up his mentored students the whole way.

I have a sulotion to settle the whole problems with the judges putting down singers only because of who the menter is. You have 4 judges, your have 4 groups of singers, every judge should have 1 contestant from each of the 4 groups that way someone like Paula would not have anybody left after the 6th show because group singers have overall not done well on any of the X Factors in the many countires this show is on.

Let me see. The winner(Melanie Amaro) of the show that Simon Cowell owns, has complete control of, produces and was the mentor to, just happened to win. Who would have guessed?
The show sucks! I like Idol and America's Got Talent better anyway.

lt would have been a wonderful finale if not for 50cent and his loud mouth co singer who barked like a dog. Disapointing more like drug festival. And then l had to see that bratty Astro kid. lt was so bad l turned the sound off till 50 cent, the dog and the brat were done. All 3 finalist are Stars.
