Lingerie firm La Senza has announced it is to enter administration, the BBC reported.

The firm, which has more than 2,600 staff, will chose an administration within 10 days. It will continue to trade as normal and no unplanned redundancies have been announced.

“Trading conditions” and “the overall macro environment” were blamed for the decision.

The business is owned by private equity house Lion Capital, and was purchased from Dragon’s Den entrepreneur Theo Paphitis for £100 million in 2006.

Celebrities who have fronted campaigns for the store include Danielle Lineker, Emma Hemming, Tess Daly and Chantelle Houghton.

The firm turns over £140 million a year and has more than 2,600 staff.

Unfortunately they have not been able to keep abreast of current trading conditions and gone bust. This is the time of year where they make the bulk of their trade, but they are a bit expensive. They should have brought their knickers down towards christmas and I feel their marketing people must feel like a right tit not to have capitlised on this. It's a bum note the way the year is finishing but hopefully when in administrion they can ensure they can increase there sales. I've always noticed how well they present their goods on the racks in the stores, and I tend to find there is nothing better than a nice rack that's well filled.

You better bra-leave it. I bet if they made all the shop worker walk around in the underwear and charged a £1 entrance fee to the shop, they would make a mint.

Knickers will be coming down then ? In price, I mean the price of knickers...G strings will be reduced....... Corsetry will be tight. Do they sell sheepdog bras ? Ones that round them up & point them in the right direction ?
