Thought Sri Lanka which is mostly Buddhist would be all peaceful and want the best everyone this along with the way that they treated the Tamils before during and after the war boy was I surely mistaken. Guess you never can judge a book by its cover.

Can't believe people discuss the passport and origin of the victim instead of sending words of support to his family... It is so sad... People, where is your kindness???
Sorry, if my English is not good enough for you. I'm Ukrainian and thanks God don't live in the UK if all British are so cruel and ignorant.

The news reports are incorrect, he was a british born citizen who had decided to work for the Red Cross and help people less fortunate than himself, he was not a drug dealer! I'm a friend of the victim, its is a very sad time for the family and us all, we just hope we get justice

Most likely he was an "Israeli Arab" and would have been Palestinian if they were allowed to have a State. To mnaazmy below; they guy worked fitting prosthetic limbs to amputees in Gaza - the kind of place NONE of our "tough" gangsta drug dealers would dare to go.

It is said that this guy is also a drug dealer, and at that time of fight he has been drunken

With a name like that, in this day and age, he is most certainly British!!!!

Says he is of Israeli origin so how does he become british.

Easy, lf his parents, ot grandparents, had come to the uk when young and worked here for many years they could then have applied for british citizenship which, when he was born in the uk, would have been automatically passed onto him.

Yes, with such a "British" name, I bet his ancestors were fighting for Britain on the beaches at Normandy.

No actually - he wasn't born then; our ancestors however were busy making plans to give away "his" ancestors' country to some other folk. Agree with earlier posts that acquiring a British passport is not the same as being "British".
