The actor popped the question on Christmas Day, and posted the news on Twitter, writing: "Just asked Camila to marry me, merry Christmas."
The Lincoln Lawyer star met Camila in 2006, and the couple have two children together, three-year-old son Levi Alves McConaughey, and daughter Vida Alves McConaughey, who was born in 2010.

The pair share homes between Austin, Texas, where Matthew is originally from, and Malibu, LA.
