Ex-Westlife star Brian McFadden is to fly back to Ireland next month to meet up with former wife Kerry Katona after she slated him over his parenting skills.

Reality star Kerry has criticised Irish crooner Brian numerous times since their marriage broke down in 2004, claiming he is not interested in seeing their children Molly, nine, and eight-year-old Lilly Sue.

Before Christmas, ex-Atomic Kitten singer Kerry said: "One person I'm not expecting to hear from this Christmas is Brian McFadden.

"He hardly pays for his kids, he rarely rings his kids and I hope he feels guilty because my four babies are so beautiful, intelligent, funny and amazing and he doesn't seem to be interested in either Molly or Lilly."

Brian is now set to fly into Ireland with girlfriend Vogue Williams within the next fortnight for a showdown with Kerry after he was left livid with her accusations.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, a source close to Brian said: "He is disgusted with Kerry's comments that he doesn't pay for his kids or want to see them.

"Brian was always planning to come back to Ireland and go over to the UK in the new year to spend time with Molly and Lilly Sue.

"He wants Vogue to be part of their life now too and he just wishes Kerry would stop making accusations about him. They made a pact a few months ago that they would stop the public slagging and start behaving better to each other.

"But Kerry timed her latest attack for just in time for Christmas - it was a real low blow for Brian."

Kerry is said to be fearful of the fact Brian is putting his love life before his kids as he did when he moved to Australia to be with ex Delta Goodrem.

If Kerry can give birth on her reality show, maybe she can get this fight televised. It would make great telly!

Personally I don't think comments should be allowed on this article. Two of those children are old enough to be able to read and understand all of this, yet too young to handle it emotionally and mentally. Can't believe some people are actually making personal comments about the children themselves, and not just the parents. If people can't be trusted to be tactful when it comes to children, then I give up on the world.

Well if the two who are old enough to read are online unsupervised then Miss katona is to blame not the posters. Ever heard of freedom of speech?

Yes but it's not Kerry Katona that will get hurt by it, is it? It is the children. That is really all that matters.

what disrturbs me most about this article is the apparent glee with which the reporter seems to relish any form of dispute between these two people.
OK so both are spent hasbeen almost stars, where does the reporter get off in the delight in this conflict.
Qoute " if she can get this fight televiseed, it would make great telly" Disgustingly typical of what we now expect fromthe media
