Britney Spears is to shun a glamorous Hollywood wedding in favour of a small country affair with close friends and family, according to US reports.
The star has been living the quiet life under the watchful eye of her father Jamie since running into trouble in recent years and she plans to continue the family theme when she marries fiance Jason Trawick, who she announced her engagement to earlier this month.
A source close to the couple told In Touch Weekly: "She wants a traditional Southern-style wedding with comfort food, surrounded by her family, her two sons and all of her childhood friends, as opposed to a Hollywood wedding."
The couple celebrated their engagement with a family trip to Las Vegas staying in a Mega Suite at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
The announcement of a quiet wedding will come as a shock to ex-husband and childhood friend Jason Alexander, who Britney was married to for 55 hours in 2004.
Speaking to UsMagazine.com, Jason said: "It's sort of sad... I know everyone wants me to be happy about this, but I am not. I think it's fake and I think people are afraid to say it... If you look at all the pictures between them there is no connection. They look like they are going through the motions."
