Sarah Harding's Boyfriend Speaks About Attack

'Sarah Harding Bit Me'

Sarah Harding's boyfriend Theo De Vries has spoken out after it was revealed the Girls Aloud star was injured during an angry bust-up between the pair in the early hours of New Year's Day while on holiday in Austria.

The singer - who checked out of rehab in November last year after being treated for alcohol addiction and depression - was taken to hospital in Innsbruck following the fight after being allegedly left with swollen eyes and a bandage on her arm.

Dutchman Theo has now claimed it was Sarah who attacked HIM, biting his leg, elbowing him in the face and throwing an ashtray at him during the altercation.

However, Sarah has told friends that Theo became violent after she dumped him and she has since called police to make a formal complaint.

A friend of Sarah's said: "This is ludicrous. She believes she was clearly defending herself.

"He'd been drinking while she was sober and decided to end it. He didn't take it too well and got in a fight in which he hit her."

Austrian police told The Sun: "Officers were called to calm things down after a relationship-related incident. A woman filed a complaint against a man from the Netherlands. He was questioned and then released. A report is being prepared for prosecutors who will decide if assault charges are filed."

Little was known about Theo until stories of the fight surfaced. Sarah's friends and Girls Aloud bandmates expressed their concern that she was jumping into a relationship too quickly following her split from her DJ fiance Tom Crane in September.
