Tonight's TV Pick: Thursday - Earthflight Goes To Africa And Celebrity Big Brother Kicks Off

Tonight's TV Pick: Thursday - Earthflight

Birds have the best view of nature, and Earthflight is the first programme to take you along with them on a soaring ride over spectacular scenery.

The BBC's latest nature show is hot on the heels of David Attenborough's Frozen Planet and has some high expectations to meet, but David Tennant does a fine job curating this birds-eye view of the world.

This week the show (BBC One, 8pm) takes us over Africa's landscape and wildlife, showing Cape gannets joining sharks, dolphins and whales as they feed off shoals of sardines. Also featured are kelp gulls following the trail of great white sharks, eagles diving for fish in the Zambezi river and vultures witnessing the wildebeest migration on the Serengeti.

The next three weeks are no doubt going to include chatter about the antics in the Celebrity Big Brother house. If you want to have a clue who people are talking about, or nature's not your bag, the launch show of Channel 5's CBB begins at 9pm with promises of screaming, fake tan and some hilarious introductions between celebrity egos.

Stars including Natalie Cassidy, Kirk Norcross, Frankie Cocozza, Page 3 girl Nicola McClean, comedienne Ruby Wax, Irish model Georgia Salpa and Denise Welsh are all rumoured to be spending weeks cooped up in the Elstree compound that's been transformed into a Swiss lodge.
