PHOTOS: Brad's Big Win

Brad Pitt added to his trophy cabinet on Monday night by scooping the coveted Best Actor prize at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards.

The Hollywood hunk, who also landed a best actor honour at California's Palm Springs International Film Festival on Saturday, attended the Manhattan ceremony with his partner Angelina Jolie and picked up the trophy for his roles in Moneyball and The Tree of Life.

Silent movie The Artist also continued its success, being named Best Picture, while its maker, Michel Hazanavicius, landed the Best Director nod.

Best Supporting Actor went to Albert Brooks for his role in Drive.

Other winners included Steven Zaillian and Aaron Sorkin (Best Screenplay for Moneyball), Emmanuel Lubezki (Best Cinematographer for The Tree of Life) and Raoul Ruiz, who landed the night's Special Award.
