TV Pundit And Ex-Arsenal Defender Martin Keown Hit By Stray Football Live On-Air (Video)

WATCH: Martin Keown Hit By Stray Football On-Air

As a one-time Arsenal defender, Martin Keown has headed more than a few balls in his time - but more often than not, it was intentional... and not mid-way through some pitchside punditry.

The incident took place on Monday during an ESPN broadcast, where fellow ex-footballer Robbie Savage, presenter Rebecca Lowe and our man Keown were discussing the upcoming FA Cup match between Arsenal and Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium.

Then, suddenly, a bright yellow ball landed on Keown's bonce. Ouch indeed.

Brushing it off like it was nothing, Keown gave a thumbs up in the direction of the pitch, made a few quips then got back to business.

Afterwards, details emerged that the ball was actually directed at Robbie Savage, not Martin Keown, with The Daily Mail reporting that the player responsible was Martin Brown, a former Spurs man now playing for Leeds. Another case closed, eh?

Amazingly, this isn't the first time a bit of pitchside presenting has gone awry - as this video gallery of reporters getting attacked by stray balls proves...
