iPhone4S China Launch Ends With Egg Throwing

What do you get when you cross an Apple and a dozen eggs? You're about to find out in the video above.

The launch of the Apple iPhone 4S in China degenerated into scuffles and egg throwing yesterday, when swarming crowds of Apple addicts became unmanageable.

The Apple store was closed as a result, and iPhone enthusiasts - many of whom had queued for hours - were turned away from the store.

The popular phone has been available across China on the black market, but this launch marked the first official launch from Apple of their incredibly popular phone.

“We were unable to open our store at Sanlitun due to the large crowd,” Apple spokesperson Carolyn Wu said in a statement reported by Slashgear, “and to ensure the safety of our customers and employees, iPhone will not be available in our retail stores in Beijing and Shanghai for the time being.”
