Manchester City footballer Mario Balotelli shocked students and teachers when he wandered into a local school during lunchtime to ask if he could use the toilets.

Roaring up to the school in his luxury white Bentley at 1.30pm on Thursday, blues star Balotelli parked his distinctive vehicle and strolled into the canteen at Xaverian College in Manchester.

The eccentric Italian Balotelli then asked to be pointed to the bathrooms before embarking on an impromptu meet-and-greet.

Accompanied by three friends, Balotelli cruised into the staffroom to speak to surprised teachers, before bowling around the campus as the student supporters of Manchester City cheered.

After 20 minutes, Balotelli climbed back into his Bentley and drove off, leaving stunned students in his wake.

Edward Gasson, 18, told the Manchester Evening News about his experience with madcap Manchester footballer Balotelli:

"I'm a City fan so it was amazing to see him," he said. But it was a bit ridiculous for him to come here – you would never expect it to happen."

It’s not the first time that Mario Balotelli has entertained us with his capricious capers.

When the footballer crashed his Audi R8 in 2010, a police pat down uncovered £5,000 in the Balotelli’s back pocket . Asked why he had so much money on him, he simply replied “because I am rich”.

Balotelli and his brother were arrested for driving into an all-female prison in Italy. After questioning by police, they said they had simply gone in because they were “curious”.

The Italian walked also into a pub Christmas 2010 and put £1,000 behind the bar for local drinkers before spending the night on soft drinks. During Midnight Mass at St John's Church, Chorlton he stuffed £200 into the collection box.

Take a look two more of Balotelli’s best shenanigans below.

In the world of football, with all its controversy and its overpaid, whinging criminals, Balotelli is a legend. Please don't go off the rails and ruin it.

Reality always bites
Sometimes just a bit peckish

Balottelli is exceptional, his football can be as erratic as his behaviour off the pitch. He is also an extremely benevolent chap and has little regard for his own wealth.
PS- Mario can you lend me a few quid?

Although he must infuriate his manager and team mates at times with his antics i can't help but like the guy.....and that's from an Arsenal fan!

ALTHOUGH I have never even heard of this guy ,he has brought a severe problem to the front,MAINLY the fact that most "PUBLIC TOILETS" have been closed, the need for these facilities are to say the least "NORMAL" MANY shops have also closed or do not have toilets for the public to use, being a person with IBS along with many other medical problems this causes me a lot of problems,as when I need to "GO" its usually almost immediately & with the severe lack of these facilities available,I have the embarassment of having to "PLEAD" with shop owners / managers to use their toilets, often to be refused,& treated as some form of PERVERT!! as a 70+ year old this does not do my self esteem any form of boost!! yes most large stores do have toilets for the public use but you can bet your bottom dollar "when you need these facilities you are never near one" the other problem is most public toilets are "pay type" which is understandable but the machines are either out of order so cannot be used OR the biggest problem is the change they accept, you can guarentee you do not have the correct amount,& trying to get change can be some what of a problem,as by the time you have waited in line for the till often its "TOO LATE" so when is something going to be done about this problem ???

Haha, 'bottom dollar' I see what you did there!

esso man because of your health problems I'd have thought having the correct change on you at all times would be a priority.
08:26 PM on 01/13/2012
normally I have, but there is "ALWAYS" that one time you get caught "SHORT" even by one penny!! hope you also get the subtle humour as well !!

The report is confusing. It says school, then it says college. Then it says a pupil interviewed was 18.

If it were a school with kids as young as 12 it's ridiculous that anyone can walk in off the street unopposed and use the facilities as if they were public toilets. No matter how famous the celebrity.

My wife thinks I have one fault. Everything I do!

I agree with your comment with one exception. When did he become a celebrity? It sounds as if it was an excuse to indulge in a bit of self aggrandisement to me.

Mario Balotelli is a celebrity assuming you know anything about football. He's been the subject of numerous stories in the press too
